    • New Politics was formed in 2009 by friends David Boyd and Søren Hansen, who are from Denmark. In 2010 it found drummer Louis Vecchio, and the trio has been together ever since. Vecchio described its sound as simply fun. “Fun, high energy, rock and roll,” Vecchio, a Long Island, New York, native, said. “We really take pride in our live show, and it’s really what we stand for. We just want to have a fun time and put smiles on people’s faces. That’s what we love to do the most, and that’s why we started doing what we’re doing.” Its debut, self-titled album was released in 2010 followed by two more: "A Bad Girl in Harlem" in 2013 and "Vikings" in 2015. Its latest single, "One of Us," was released earlier this year and peaked to No. 13 on the alternative rock charts in the U.S.
